The 1/6 scale ECH High Cut helmet issued to the USMC is finally here.

We had originally planned for the high cut ECH helmet to be issued with GA1006S - US MARINES Marpat Woodland, limited to an exclusive 300 unit run.

Production version of the GA1006S US Marine Marpat Woodland with the ECH helmet without helmet cover.

Alas, there is always Murphy’s law. Unforeseen circumstances. Something indeed went wrong at the last minute. No matter how hard we pushed, we were unable to rectify issues with the ECH high cut mold. In the end we had to swap out the ECH high cut helmet with a normal ECH helmet, without the helmet cover for the GA1006S version. This decision was made on the basis of many marines running bare ECH helmets without any covers, evident from the many pictures of the Kabul Airfield evac.

I have to say, it was a huge blow. We had a grand vision of a current day marine with bleeding edge gear. GEN III Plate Carrier, M18 pistol, M27 with suppressor, and latest VCOG optic, ECOTI clip on NVG, ECH helmet and high cut ECH helmet options.

Am still feeling quite sore about how GA1006S turned out with the omission of the high cut ECH helmet. However the wound is somewhat healing now that my partners at Easy & Simple have resolved the problems and issued the high cut ECH helmet with ES26059.

So, if you are a collector and you have the GA1006S, try get your hands on the high cut ECH helmet from the ES26059 release and swap it out. You will then have the figure as i had originally intended !
